Welcome from the Prez'
A warm greeting to all our fellow Seminoles! On behalf of
the Kentucky Seminole Club I'd like to take this
opportunity to welcome all of you who have discovered our
Web site.
We are located in beautiful Louisville, Kentucky and,
although greatly outnumbered by our “Cardinal” and “Cat”
friends, are proud to display The Garnet & Gold Spirit for
all in the “Blue Grass” State to see and admire. Our club
is officially recognized by the FSU Alumni Association and
the National Seminole Boosters. We strongly encourage all
Seminole fans throughout the Commonwealth, Southern
Indiana and anywhere else in the area to join us in our
various activities. The only requirement for inclusion is
a shared loyalty to our beloved “Noles”.
FSU Athletics have definitely arrived back on the national
stage, not only on the gridiron but on the hardwood, the
baseball diamond, the track and field arena, and on and
on. We are very proud of our University and all it stands
for – on the fields of play, in the classrooms, in various
community activities and in many other areas. With the
arrival of the University of Louisville in the Atlantic
Coast Conference (and the expectation that they will
participate in the Atlantic Division) we are extremely
excited at the prospect of seeing the Noles here in our
area on a regular and frequent basis. This situation poses
a myriad of possibilities for the Kentucky Seminole Club
and we are already underway in planning for those
possibilities. I feel that this is just the start of a
thrilling expansion for us. We have every intention of
making the most of this ACC re-alignment and encourage all
regional Seminole fans to join us in this exciting
endeavor.
In addition to our various social functions, such as our
game-watching parties and annual picnic, we feel that
Community Service is a big part of our obligation to our
Louisville neighbors. Our events have included: serving
dinner at Ronald McDonald House and Gilda’s Club,
Adopt-a-Highway trash pick up, conducting raffles for our
Scholarship Fund and Thanksgiving and Christmas Angel Tree
participation. We realize that there are many other causes
worthy of our attention in the community and are always
encouraging our members to offer their suggestions in this
regard.
In the hopes that many more of our Seminole brethren out
there are ready to join us in this very exciting time, I
encourage you to contact me at tvosully@earthlink.net or
any of our board members listed on our contacts page. We
welcome your interest and will be delighted to personally
fill you in on more particulars about one of the best
clubs in Seminole Nation.
Go Noles,
Tom O’Sullivan,
President, Kentucky Seminoles Club
